Preliminary observations from this Ramazan Fat Percentage Assessment program are (a) we start getting fat in our 30s and (b) 3 out of 4 people are classified fat in this year's group of 39 volunteers (35 men & 4 women).
Eid Baibalaa Team Wolves Training 1447
I was recently invited by The Wolves Club founder Hassan Rajab (Richard) to see his team in training for this year’s Eid Baibalaa Championship. I came to know Richard as a star student from the Batch 29 of the National Fitness Instructor Course I teach.
The 5K Run, Batch 30
Students of the National Certificate III Fitness Instructor Course, Batch 30, completed their 5K Fitness Run today at the Hulhumale Athletics Track.
Students register their 5K Walk time at entry in week 1 of this 15-week, one semester course. They then complete a 5K Run in the 10th week to assess their cardiovascular fitness, which in turn goes into their Fitness Profile created over the course.
Maldives Aquathlon Championship 2025
Swim Maldives staged The National Aquathlon Championships 2025 this morning in nearby Maafushi tourist island, only 30 minutes out of the capital city of Male’. Over a hundred athletes including the national top-ranking swimmers and runners created history with outstanding performances.
National Fitness Instructor Certification, Batch 30.
BATCH 30 of the National Fitness Instructor Certificate, Level III, started yesterday. This MQA approved foundation course is aimed at developing the competencies required of a certified fitness instructor. The course is based on the application of exercise science to fitness.
Gym Visits during the Rainy Season.
The Southwest Monsoon or Hulangu Moosun started in May this year. The frequency and unpredictability of rain and increased flooding keep some of our clients away from the gym.

The Ooredoo Fun Run on 23/12 was the lead up to New Year 2023 for all fitness enthusiasts. A quarter of the 5,000 runners can be assured that they are in reasonable fitness condition. 25% of the runners completed the run under 70 minutes. They were mostly children and young people. Not adults.
